Description
We're back with our monthly 'meet a professor' series! Tomorrow's talk will feature Dr. Joseph Bennett from the Chemistry/Biochemistry department, but we welcome all STEM students, especially those in the life sciences. Even if you are studying biology, physics, math, or statistics, you should come get some advice from Dr. Bennett.
Dr. Bennett will present a short slideshow about how students should start getting involved in research, and then he'll be taking questions from YOU about specifics - what goes on in the lab, what kind of training you'll receive, and how to reach out. This advice will apply to ALL students looking to get involved in STEM research on campus, not just chemistry and biochemistry students, so make sure you come by. No matter where you are planning to go with a STEM degree, all students can benefit from lab research, whether it's in preparation for medical school, graduate work, or being out there in the wild doing science!
Of course, we'll have pretzels! Feel free to bring your lunch as well.
