Every semester, the CNMS Advising Office publishes updated advising assignments (typically in October and March).
*** The instructions and lists below are for continuing students ONLY. Updated advising assignments will be released in October. If you are a new/incoming student you can follow up with CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu for advising support in the interim. ***
To determine your assigned advisor for the upcoming registration period, please follow the TWO steps below.
1.) Select your declared major and then search for your name.
Search by declared major and then last name — in alphabetical order.
2.) Identify your advisor contact information.
To decipher the above assignments you will want to refer to the following directory below which includes all of the contact information necessary to follow up with your assigned advisor — including email and office information. In general, emails are preferred.
*** If you are unable to find your name in the appropriate chart please e-mail CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu.***
***Students who were undeclared prior to the end of the most recent schedule adjustment period may not have an assigned advisor during this cycle. In the interim, they will be served by either the CNMS Advising Office (if under 30 earned credits) OR their respective department’s interim advisor (over 30 earned credits). ****
