COLLEGE BOOTCAMP 2025 wraps today continues with some powerhouse topics -- research and career/internship prep! We have clearly been saving the best for last! As an extra bonus, we have a guest speaker -- Dr. Jeff Leips -- AKA Biology Professor extraordinaire -- during our 12 PM research session. This is a DO NOT MISS!
At 12PM we are starting with "The Research Grind: Explore your Options for Scientific Discovery" which will provide an overview of the topic that is on everyone's mind -- how to get involved in research! Specifically, we will have Dr. Jeff Leips talk a little about his lab on campus, how to get involved, what the research/lab expectations are, and what a professor is looking for in a member of their team. Some of his insight may surprise you!
At 12:30PM we are switching gears to internships with "Science Career Sculpt : Power Moves for Your Career Journey." Learn how to carve out your own path to a curated career and how the Career Center can support you along that journey. Resources abound -- but you have to know where to look!
All sessions will be hosted in the same WebEx space - just click this link to join at any time you wish! Each session will last 20-25 minutes.
Even though Bootcamp ends today -- the fun continues as we return next week on 8/19 for our final Tuesday @ 2 session for the summer -- Grandmaster Tips: TA/LA Panel.
