"Catch the Research Current (Part I)": Students Talk Research! – Online Event
Date & Time
July 22, 2025, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Description
This week (7/22) and next week (7/29) we will be joined by our very own STEM students to talk about their experiences as research assistants on campus! This week our guest student will be Elana Frazier ('25), who just graduated in May with a degree in Biological Sciences (BS) and is returning to UMBC this fall to start a PhD in Biology.
Elana spent many semesters at UMBC working in Dr. Michelle Starz-Gaiano's lab, where she did research in the field of cell biology and signaling. She'll be talking about how she got involved in the lab, what kinds of things she's expected to do, and how it helped shape her identity as a scientist and decide what to do with her career! Don't miss this one - it's going to be fantastic!
