The STEM Transfer Student Success Initiative is an innovative multi-institutional collaboration funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support successful transition to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County by students from Anne Arundel Community College, The Community College of Baltimore County, Howard Community College and Montgomery College. The Initiative focuses on students who are pursuing fields of study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Resources available include recommendations for pre- and post-transfer activities, contact information for pre-transfer advising (both at the four partner Community Colleges, and at UMBC), and numerous academic success tools.
