Description

Lots of CNMS students come to us asking about how they can get involved campus research, so we're coming to YOU this week to answer any questions you might have! Your success team will be on hand to talk about the process of getting a research assistant position as an undergraduate and the experience you can expect while you work in a lab.

We'll cover the HOW of getting into a lab, the WHAT of being in a lab, and the WHY you should do it, in case you don't yet know. Topics will include how to send good introduction emails, presentation and publication opportunities, and the kinds of mentorship and course credit you can receive while at UMBC. We'll also touch on outside-UMBC summer research experiences!

In case you missed last week's panel discussion with our two current undergraduate students (or you have any follow-up questions), be sure to attend! We can't wait to hear all about your excitement and curiosity.
